The larger Smith MEASUREMIX Models R-12, R-16, R-24 utilize Rotary-type water motors
of durable construction. The amount of water handled by these larger models makes their use
desirable for large growing areas, golf courses, parks and institutional grounds.
These models have stainless steel check valves and fittings at no extra cost, and can be
supplied with any set proportion within the range listed, also at no extra cost. The water
motor casing and interior parts in the R-12 and R-16 models are made of bronze. The Model
R-24 has interior watermotor parts made of bronze, with the heavy outer casting made of
galvanized iron. The large units are equipped with a hoist-handle that will facilitate the use
of a portable crane or winch during installation. These models are also equipped
with flanges to make pipeline construction easy. Mating flanges, threaded to take 3-inch pipe
for R-12, 4-inch pipe for R-16, and 6-inch pipe for R-24, are supplied at no extra cost.
