Performance Specifications
Rated Flow Capacity:
2.5 to 250 GPM (9.5 to 946 LPM)
Temperature Range:
-40°F to +100°F (-40°C to +38°C)*
Maximum Allowable Working Pressure:
400 psi (28 bar)*
Maximum Differential Pressure:
75 psi (5 bar)*
Duty Cycle:
2 hours continuously at maximum RPM. For pumps operating for more than 2 hours, we recommend our heavy-duty “NSSA” option and operating the pump at ½ the maximum drive speed. Please contact our factory for the recommended pump model/motor combination.
*Contact our engineering department if your application requires a different temperature or pressure than listed above.
**All pumps are built for their intended liquid service and cannot be interchanged due to differences in materials of construction. Never use a pump for a liquid service other than specified.
100% Tested Before Shipment
All Smith pumps are tested three times before shipment under our ISO 9001 quality management system. Mechanical seals are tested for leaks, pump casings are pressure tested, and each pump is tested to verify flow performance before leaving the factory.
Smith’s proprietary mechanical shaft seal assembly allows every seal to be pre-assembled and factory-tested prior to shipment, whether for a new pump or as a spare. The result is faster installation, reduced downtime, and dependable sealing performance you can trust. Learn more about Smith’s mechanical shaft seal design.
Testing Criteria:
- Every mechanical seal is liquid tested to inspect for leakage.
- Casings in the pumps are pressure tested to 400 psi after assembly.
- Pumps are then liquid tested to meet pump flow rate expectations.
